We collect information you give us directly, and some information automatically when you use our platform.

Information you provide:

• Name and email address (when signing up for the waitlist or creating an account)
• City or location (to show you relevant nearby games)
• Primary sport preference (to personalise your experience)
• Social media handle (optional, to connect with other players)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store your card details)
• Profile information such as playing position and skill level
• Messages sent within in-app game lobby chats

Information collected automatically:

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• IP address and approximate location (if you grant permission)
• Usage data such as screens viewed, features used, and session duration
• Crash reports and performance data to help us fix bugs

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Rally platform
• To show you nearby games and venues relevant to your sport and location
• To send you game reminders, confirmations, and service updates
• To process payments and send receipts
• To let you build a player profile and reputation on the platform
• To contact you when Rally launches in your area (waitlist only)

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes or share it with advertisers.

4. Sharing Your Information

• Other players: Your name, profile photo, and player rating are visible to others in games you join or host.
• Service providers: We use trusted third-party providers for payments (Stripe), push notifications (Expo), and cloud hosting (Supabase). These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance reasons.

Waitlist data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or until 12 months after our launch date, whichever comes first.

Rally is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify waitlist members by email and post a notice on our website.
